Future proofing Kids platforms
Michael Acton Smith, CEO of Mind Candy, will attend MIPTV to talk about the changing face of the industry as deals get underway for the online kids platform – MoshiTV.
Michael will be speaking during two sessions, including Digital Distribution about Monetising Content on New Platforms and the Connected Creativity Forum about Innovation from Around the World.
Moshi TV, which will launch this year, is the online kids platform that will play host to
video-on-demand programming including bespoke Moshi Monsters content, safely
moderated user-generated content and third party programming.
“We’ll very quickly see quality kids content rise to the top whilst less popular content sinks,”said Michael. “This swift feedback is invaluable to producers and could change the face of children’s TV production.”
Moshi TV will initially roll out as a free-to-view service via the Moshi Monsters website.
Mind Candy is also currently in talks with third party online media owners and other platforms about building the player into their content offerings.
