More Timmy Time from Aardman
Aardman Animations has announced plans to produce two half hour specials of its hit pre-school series Timmy Time, which will be delivered in October 2011.
The first of the specials will see Timmy and his friends enjoying their very first sleepover after finding themselves snowed in at the Nursery over the Winter holidays. The second will follow Timmy and his classmates to the beach on their first ever outing, where they have to organise an impromptu rescue operation when Timmy’s precious teddy gets washed out to sea!
Aardman has created 78 x 10’ episodes of Timmy Time to date and has sold the series to over 160 broadcasters worldwide. Aardman Rights will be presenting them for the first time to international partners at MIP TV.
Aardman’s Head of Broadcast, Miles Bullough, commented: “We’re very excited about creating these two specials for Timmy Time, it’s the perfect time to make them as we come to a close on the third series and we’ll be able to provide our broadcast partners with holiday specials for Winter 2011 and Summer 2012. Jackie Cockle has devised the stories for the two episodes and we’ll be retaining the same BAFTA-winning team that have worked on series so far, so we can’t wait to see the end results.”
