Zodiak Media Group Launches Zodiak América Latina
Zodiak Media Group announced the launch of Zodiak América Latina, a division dedicated to the development and production of television content across the Latin American region.
The move demonstrates Zodiak’s strategy to identify promising new territories and to become a leading contender in those markets.
The new division, led by Giorgio Gori as CEO and Nicola Drago as COO (pictured), becomes part of Zodiak’s global network of 45 production companies and opens up new opportunities for the existing Zodiak companies which now belong to the division.
The Latin America market is broad and offers significant potential since the region is experiencing growth in both its economy and in traditional TV advertising. The division will target US Hispanic, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia and other territories in Southern and Central America.
The division encompasses two existing businesses whose activities are today being re-launched in these territories.
Miami based RM5to Elemento has been renamed Zodiak Latino and will continue focusing its efforts on the Spanish-speaking US television market and major broadcasters across Latin America. The partnership between the company and Ricky Martin Entertainment will continue to address opportunities in the joint development of music-based formats to be produced by Zodiak Latino.
Harris Whitbeck, who served as CCO at Rm5to Elemento, will lead the new company as CEO.
Zodiak Brasil, based in Rio de Janeiro and launched in October 2010, also forms part of the Zodiak América Latina division and will continue to operate under the management of Paolo Nocetti (CEO) and Carla Affonso (COO).
