JCB and HTI cement new deal
Global master toy licensee will develop a fleet of new JCB boys lines.

JCB, Europe’s largest construction brand, has agreed a new three year licensing deal with Halsall Toys International (HTI).
The deal grants global master toy rights to key categories including vehicles, role-play, bikes and scooters, wheeled and battery operated ride-ons and construction play. Halsall Toys International has been a licensee of JCB for over ten years, underlining the evergreen status of the licence, and the new deal will take the partnership forward until at least the end of 2013. The success of the JCB boys range by HTI has helped the JCB brand become a top 20 licensed property within the UK toy market (full year 2009).
With a central focus on inspiring imaginative play, the toys are conceived from the internationally renowned distinctive yellow and black earth moving machines. The range is aimed at boys who crave the real construction world or just want to be like their DIY parents.
“Our success with HTI keeps growing year after year. Its fair to say the HTI team understand our brand through and through and we’re confident this new deal will further strengthen our licensing programme both within the UK and beyond,“ says Sam Johnson, kids brand manager of JCB Consumer Products.
John Hutt, CEO of HTI, commented: “We are delighted to be continuing this partnership with JCB. Our success is testament to the strength and popularity of the brand combined with our continued investment in tooling. The extension of our worldwide license agreement with JCB will enable HTI to grow the brand into further Global territories.”
