Licensing newcomers offered head start by LIMA

Trade body LIMA is giving industry newcomers the opportunity to network with established licensing professionals at a special networking evening after BLE on Wednesday 29th September.

The event is part of the Future LIMA Industry Professionals – flip – group, which was created several years ago by LIMA USA to encourage new people into the industry, increase educational and networking opportunities and act as a peer-to-peer support group. An informal grouping of like-minded professionals, flip boasts a worldwide membership, and arranges regular social activities and lively online networking forums.

Attendees will have the opportunity to rub shoulders with established industry professionals, exchange contacts and ask questions about key issues.

Due to this unprecedented demand, the original venue lacks capacity to accomodate all those who have registered, so the evening has now been moved to the private lounge upstairs at The Hand and Flower Inn, 1 Hammersmith Rd, London, W14 8XJ - right opposite Olympia itself. LIMA looks forward to a lively evening from 6pm to 8pm. Admission is free but to attend you must register in advance here: https://www.licensing.org/events/register.php?uid=500

There is no charge to attend the event, although there will be a cash bar.

Kelvyn Gardner, LIMA’s UK managing director, says: “It’s vitally important that we encourage new people into the industry and give them the support that they need to develop their careers. flip is not just for young executives but for anyone seeking to get inside the licensing industry whether they are new to the business or perhaps in a background role removed from day-to-day contact with licensing peers. We are hoping that this will be the first in a line of flip networking events in the UK, so do come along for some stimulating conversation and a few drinks!”
