Spanish debut for Everything's Rosie

RTVE Spain is the latest major terrestrial broadcaster to acquire the V&S Entertainment series Everything's Rosie.

The hit pre-school series has sparked serious interest from top level broadcasters worldwide. Deals have been concluded in multiple territories with offers from several major networks currently in negotiation.

Everything's Rosie (26 x 11-minutes) is co-produced with Al Jazeera Children's Channel (JCC) and has been an instant hit since launch on CBeebies, rocketing to the top of the ratings and maintaining its position as one of the channel's top pre-school shows. Series one has consistently topped the BARB ratings for pre-school programmes across all age ranges. Series two (26 x 11-mnutes) is now in production for May 2011 delivery.

The series follows Rosie and her group of loyal friends as they embark on a journey of fun and discovery whilst learning important values, social skills and life lessons. Packed with humour, fun and a real sense of adventure, the series explores the value of friendship and how if you've got friends, you are never alone.

Vickie Corner, MD of V&S Entertainment said: "We are overwhelmed with the incredible international response to the first series of Everything's Rosie. Spain is a key market for Rosie and we are delighted to be working with RTVE."

Fernando Hernandez Benjumeda, Acquisition Executive of Television Espanola, RTVE commented: "We have been very impressed by Everything Rosie's performance in other territories and are confident that the series will be a great addition to our pre-school portfolio. Although our exact transmission plans are yet to be confirmed, we hope to include Everything's Rosie in the weekend morning pre-school block on our main channel, TVE, from mid-November onwards before integrating it into the programming on our main children's channel, Clan TV."
