Aimed at six- to 12-year-olds, the trading card game comprises 165 cards featuring pictures and facts on the creatures from the first two series of the show. The cards will be sold in packs of eight, which children can collect, trade and play with.
Ceri Murray, head of partworks and collectibles for BBC Magazines, says: “Deadly 60 has been a fantastic success on CBBC, encouraging children to find out more about the world’s deadliest creatures. We are very excited and confident that this new, fun educational, trading card game brings something new to this hugely popular sector of the market.”
Marketing activity around the launch of the card game includes sampling in other BBC and Egmont children’s titles, adverting across the BBC Magazines’ portfolio. There will also be online promotions and competitions.
