Bulldog signs a monster
Bulldog Licensing to represent the most popular monster truck brand in the world, Monster Jam.

Bulldog Licensing has announced details of a new agreement that will see the agency representing Monster Jam’s consumer products licensing business in UK/Ireland and Benelux.
Monster Jam, the popular worldwide family entertainment monster truck property, features stadium and arena based racing and freestyle stunts. The world’s premier monster trucks perform on the Monster Jam tour, including Grave Digger, Maximum Destruction, Monster Mutt, Blue Thunder, Captain’s Curse, El Toro Loco, Grinder, and Mohawk Warrior. The brand and its action-packed live shows are a family entertainment staple in North America and it’s now spreading across the world, with over four million people attending annually.
The 2010 European Monster Jam tour runs over September/October/November and will see Monster Jam roaring into the NIA Birmingham, Millennium Stadium Cardiff and the MEN Arena Manchester. In Benelux the live tour will visit the Sportpaleis Antwerp and Gelredome Arnhem.
Monster Jam is also watched by millions of television viewers and is broadcast on Bravo in the UK and Ireland and on RTL and Jim TV in Benelux.
A strong licensing programme is already in place for the brand across the relevant territories; Mattel is on board for master toy, K’NEX is Monster Jam’s construction toy licensee, and Activision has released two best selling video games, with a third due to launch in November titled Monster Jam: Path of Destruction. Other categories represented include apparel, stationery, party goods, publishing and greetings, through top licensees such as Aykroyds, UK Greetings, Haza and Big Balloon Publishers.
“We are very excited about representing Monster Jam,” says Bulldog MD Rob Corney, “it has absolutely massive appeal for kids of all ages and there is huge scope to add to the existing programme.”
“Monster Jam’s continued growth of its live events, television, sponsors, and retail consumer products makes it one of the premier motor sports brands in the world,” said Mark Abernethy, senior director, Brand Marketing, Feld Motor Sports. “The Monster Jam tour continues to grow in Europe, and with Bulldog Licensing managing the retail consumer products licensing programme, we feel strongly that the mass appeal of Monster Jam will be at an all time high.”
