Peppa continues to lead the way for eOne

Peppa Pig, Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom and Twilight remain stalwarts of eOne's brand portfolio as the company looks to build upon its commercial success into 2011 and beyond.

The team will be using the show as a platform to seek new licensing and promotional partners, to develop the international potential of their portfolio and to build relations with FMCG companies, which is a growth area for the company.

Andrew Carley, head of licensing at Entertainment One, commented: “We’re incredibly excited about the opportunities we’ll be taking to Brand Licensing Europe where we will be showcasing our award-winning portfolio of core properties and discussing our plans for growth beyond the UK. In addition, our new strategic alignment with eOne Films will allow us to extend our licensing offering to include opportunities based around major releases.”

The continued growth of the Peppa Pig franchise will be supported by new episodes currently in production and new themed attraction, Peppa Pig World, launching at Paultons Park in Hampshire next Easter. The brand continues to enjoy success as one of the UK’s biggest pre-school properties. Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom returns as a BAFTA award-winning pre-school property which continues to gather pace.  eOne will be talking to retail and potential licensees about opportunities in 2011 as they seek to extend the licensing programme into further categories.

The Twilight Saga has become a merchandise phenomena with The Twilight Saga: New Moon dominating the entertainment categories at this year’s LIMA awards, collecting a total of five Licensing Excellence Awards. At the box office The Twilight Saga: Eclipse grossed just over £13.75 million in its opening weekend, making it the 12th highest UK opening weekend of all time. The brand continues to seduce consumers worldwide and eOne will be managing the long term growth of the brand across retail with the next key event the widely anticipated release of the DVD this autumn.

Spearheading the company’s drive to expand its portfolio of childrens TV programmes and international business is Olivier Dumont, newly appointed managing director of the Entertainment One family division which unites TV production, TV sales and licensing to create an integrated global operation.
