DCD Hits The Right Note With ‘Play That Tune’
New music-based brand Play That Tune launched in October this year and has enjoyed a fantastic response, with a string of awards and sales exceeding expectations. After winning best new game at Toyfair 2010, the new musical game continued to win accolades and went on to achieve highly recommended awards by both Toytalk and Top Toys consumer groups.

Play That Tune combines music, movement and fun to deliver a fantastic family gaming experience for all ages. It is the result of a collaboration between Imagination Games, DCD publishing and EMI Music Publishing.
David Snow, managing director of Imagination Games, said: "When Imagination Games were looking to launch our great new game Play That Tune in 2010, we wanted to ensure we had the right music partner on board to deliver some great music content for our game.
We knew we had found a great partner in DCD Publishing when they unlocked a potential Aladdin's cave of music rights for us to launch Play That Tune. The quality of the music content from EMI certainly helped Play That Tune achieve best new game at Toyfair for 2010.
We believe the game will continue to be strong in 2011 and are already continuing our work with DCD Publishing to deliver more music inspired games and gifts for 2011 and beyond."
Michael Gottlieb, head of licensing and music merchandising at DCD Publishing, added: "Play That Tune is the latest product to emerge from DCD Publishing's music merchandising division which now represents nearly 6 million songs from the world's leading music publishers and we are very much looking forward to developing new musical concepts with Imagination Games."
