Award-winning BBC pre-school favourite launches nationwide summertime tour across the UK
BBC Worldwide, Ragdoll and Minor Entertainment have announced the world premiere and nationwide tour of In the Night Garden Live. The show will open for a two-week run on 17th July 2010 at Sefton Park in Liverpool before moving to London in August and Glasgow in September.
Neil Ross Russell, MD children’s and licensing at BBC Worldwide said: "Our ambition has always been to take In the Night Garden into a live environment; our challenge has been to develop an experience that reflects the quality and innovation of the TV programme."

In the Night Garden Live is a truly unique proposition for children and their families and one that we see as the perfect way to extend the experience of the TV show in a theatrical environment.”
A commercial success since launch in the UK, In the Night Garden was the fastest growing toy and game licence in its first year. A whopping 4.4 million plush toy sales have been achieved to date – an average of four sales a minute since launch. UK books have sold over 2.5 million units, and UK DVD sales exceed one million.
Outside the UK, In the Night Garden has been translated in to 19 different languages and clocked up 35 international sales - making it a pre-school favourite China to Canada and from India to Iceland.
