It's playtime for Toy Story 3
A new range of fun and exciting products will be launched to coincide with the big screen release of the hugely anticipated Toy Story 3.
The new Toy Story 3 toy line features action figures, dolls, role play, games, play sets, construction sets, vehicles, talking plush and robots To offer this unprecedented line-up Disney Consumer Products has teamed with more than 20 world-renowned toy companies, including Mattel, The LEGO Group, VTech, Vivid Imaginations, and Spinmaster.
Adidas has launched a collection of footwear and apparel featuring some of the more popular characters such as Woody and Buzz Lightyear, while numerous other apparel, accessories and footwear products will accompany kids to infinity and beyond! Home décor and accessories such as lamps, furniture, storage products, etc. will allow kids to relive the adventures of the gang in their own bedrooms. While exciting party goods, gift wrap, greeting cards, social stationery and bath and body products will also be available.
Toy Story is the largest licensing event of 2010. Boasting $8 billion in global merchandise sales to date since it was introduced in 1995, Toy Story will continue to bring excitement to retailers around the world and turn up the fun for kids at playtime.
The first Toy Story film, directed by John Lasseter in 1996, was a phenomenal success making the second biggest box office of the year and the biggest selling video of the year. Toy Story set an industry precedent as the first full-length feature film created entirely with CG animation. When Toy Story 2 opened five years later, it was the biggest box office hit of the year in the UK with a box office of £43.2m.
