JOHN GILDEA JOINS LICENSING WORKS
Licensing Works welcomes John Gildea, who will work with the firm in an executive sales capacity.
“John is a seasoned and respected senior executive with over 25 years in the management of intellectual property,” commented Leslie Levine, the company’s founder. “He adds great depth to the Licensing Works team and we look forward to having him on-board as we further expand our growing IP portfolio.”
Gildea worked at Hasbro, Inc for 17 years, where he served as VP of licensing and consumer promotions before becoming SVP of new business development for Hasbro Interactive. Credited with creating the licensing division at the $4 billion toy and game company, Gildea also served for five years as SVP of consumer products at Cookie Jar Entertainment, a leading family entertainment content company, where he was responsible for developing and implementing the company’s consumer products licensing strategy. Gildea said, “I am very excited to be reunited with Leslie, having worked together in the early days at Hasbro. Leslie has assembled an impressive portfolio of properties that have stood the test of time and present numerous opportunities across a broad variety of product categories.”
