BLE keynote speaker announced

Andrew Davenport leads line-up of expert speakers in Licensing Academy.

As the co-creator of Teletubbies with Anne Wood and the creator of In the Night Garden, Andew Davenport has had a very significant impact on the world of children's TV. Advanstar is thrilled to announce that he will be delivering this year's keynote address at Brand Licensing Europe.

This will be a rare chance to hear Andrew talk about creating unique entertainment for children and to hear, first hand, his expertise and authority on the subject. Andrew Davenport is the international award‐winning creator, writer and composer of In the Night Garden, and co‐creator and writer of the phenomenally successful Teletubbies, produced by Ragdoll Productions for the BBC. The success  of his pre-school properties led to his being dubbed ‘the JK Rowling of the under-fives’.

Jessica Blue, event director, Brand Licensing Europe 2010, commented: “We are thrilled that Andrew, as such an influential figure in the industry, is delivering the keynote speech in what is set to be our biggest and best Brand Licensing Europe event yet. Andrew is one of the world’s leading pre-school creators who has helped remodel the landscape of children’s programming and its licensing potential.”

Joining Davenport at Brand Licensing Europe 2010 will be a host of expert speakers including John Burns from Halliwells LLP and Greenlight vice president, David Reeder.
