Bluebird spreads the word

Licensed goods specialist Bluebirds Brands is set to launch an innovative and exciting series of products based on the best-selling Collins Gem range of dictionaries.

The new line is set to go on sale from October and includes bags, umbrellas and mug gift-sets that all feature a fun and inventive take on words and dictionary descriptions.

This latest line adds to an increasingly impressive Bluebird Brands portfolio, with the company offering a broad range of licensed collections designed by an in-house creative team. This covers character, celebrity and fashion and includes classics such as Mr Men & Little Miss and Scooby Doo, as well as hot new brand Pip and Co.
 
“We are very excited about this new Collins Gem range,” says Rachel Needs, brands and licensing director at Bluebird Brands. “We always look to link our products into the personality of a brand and this new line fits into that remit absolutely perfectly. It is something completely different and Collins Gem is such a strong and recognisable brand that these products will really stand out.”

“This exciting range of Collins Gem products (is) a perfect brand extension for our best-selling dictionary brand and will be joined at retail by other licensed products including stationery, greetings cards, calendars, and gifts,” adds Melanie Beer, head of licensing and content development at HarperCollins Publishing.
