Bob builds ratings success

HIT Entertainment has announced that the new series of Bob the Builder: Ready, Steady, Build! has enjoyed buoyant ratings which have significantly increased the average audience share on the same slot as last year by up to 35 per cent.

Comparing ratings from the 08:43am 2009 slot to the same period of this year (12th April to 28th May), Bob the Builder: Ready, Steady, Build! enjoyed significant growth with the programme’s share increasing significantly by over a third at 35 per cent.
 
Britain’s best loved construction worker also featured three times in BARB’s weekly Top 10 programmes on CBeebies during May peaking at number four on Monday 17th May’s episode at 1700.
 
HIT Entertainment’s  EVP worldwide programming, Alison Homewood, said: “We are delighted at the success the new series of Bob has had in building such a large audience. The ratings are a clear indication that Bob the Builder continues to be a hugely popular brand for pre-schoolers. This strong performance of the new series provides an excellent foundation for HIT’s plans to continue to grow the brand both on TV and through its licensing programme.”  
 
Bob the Builder: Ready, Steady, Build! is the lively new CGI series. Set in Fixham Harbour it features a host of new locations, including a theatre and sports pitch, and lively new characters and machines including Scratch, a small tracked digger and Rubble, a giant dumper truck. Bob the Builder: Ready Steady Build! is currently airing on the CBeebies channel and on CBeebies on BBC TWO in the morning.
