Mickey set for UK tour
Mickey Mouse is setting off to tour the UK in his brand new Clubhouse Campervan. The humble campervan has just celebrated 60 years of production and is the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Tour vehicle of choice to take Mickey and his friends across the UK to Disney Stores and family events in London, Birmingham, Bristol, Sheffield, Glasgow, Essex and Newcastle.
In July and August 2010, the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Tour will be inspiring children to take part in a Countdown Challenge - encouraging parents and children across the UK to count together. This will be supported with helpful tips and advice on how parents can make counting together fun and entertaining with their preschoolers. Parenting expert Eileen Hayes commented: “It’s really important for children to be engaged more actively from around two-plus, not only to help their brains develop but also as part of the essential bonding between a child and parent. Counting together is a simple and fun way for families to do this. As well as the traditional counting songs and nursery rhymes, why not try bringing numbers in to your every day routine and have fun with them - count the apples in your supermarket basket, the stairs in your house, the freckles on their faces or even the teeth in their mouths.

At all Disney Store events and the Bristol Balloon Fiesta the world of Mickey Mouse and his pals will be brought to life with the iconic Mickey Mouse Clubhouse campervan and Mickey himself making a rare appearance. Parents and children will be entertained with fun and interactive games, exciting Mickey Mouse competitions, chances to join in with the ‘Hot Dog dance’, a magnetic wall and the once in a lifetime opportunity to meet Mickey in person.
