Old Masters remastered
Renowned fine art publisher and art licensor Rosenstiel's has been casting an eye over its archives, resulting in a collection of irreverent re-takes on many old masters.
'Master Blaster' may be something of a departure for Rosenstiel's,
twice recipients of the Queen's Award for Export, but it looks like the
gamble has already paid off as the fast growing online card publisher
'Whamoosh' snapped up 30 designs as soon as the property was released.
Rosenstiel's licensing manager Malcolm Sanders admitted that they'd been inspired by all the retro spoofery of recent years but felt that the imagery of the '40s and '50s had been so heavily plundered that the market was ready for something a bit different.
'Whamoosh', whose patented technology allows purchasers to further customise the designs, clearly agreed. A mug deal is about to be concluded and with other giftware licences now under negotiation it would seem that it pays to re-cycle!
