Eleanor's Secret wins Annecy award
The French animation feature film Eleanor’s Secret has been awarded the Special Distinction award by the 34th International Animation Film Festival jury.
Co-produced by Alphanim, La Fabrique and Lanterna Magica, Eleanor’s
Secret was directed by Dominique Montféry and developed by Henri
Heidsieck. Rébecca Dautremer, art director on the feature film, created
the graphic concept. Eleanor’s Secret was released by Haut et Court in
French theaters in December 2009.
Acclaimed by critics, the feature film already totalled 500 000 admissions – worth €3 million – at the French box-office alone! Three exclusive books were published by French publisher Flammarion. The movie was also widely distributed across the world, in the United Kingdom, Eire, Switzerland, Italy, Turkey, German speaking Europe, Norway, Canada, Korea, Israel, Pays Baltic States, Middle East and Czech Republic.
Clément Calvet, Eleanor’s Secret producer, is: "very proud to receive this distinction on behalf of the whole team and co-production partners, which rewards several years of work in collaboration with talented artists. It is a fantastic encouragement for the upcoming release of Alphanim’s third feature film SantApprentice, which will be out in French theaters on November 24th 2010."
