Magical new addition to Redan’s Fun To Learn portfolio
Redan Publishing Ltd is bolstering its hugely successful pre-school portfolio with the launch of Fun To Learn Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom magazine.
Already working with E1 Entertainment on the highly acclaimed Peppa Pig brand, Redan is delighted to have the opportunity to work on this magical new property and strengthen its position as the leading independent magazine publisher in the pre-school market.
Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom is currently the number three-rated show on Nick Jr, and has recently won a BAFTA for best pre-school animation. The magazine will be aimed at girls and boys aged between three and seven and follows in the footsteps of Redan’s innovative 'Fun To Learn' format, filled with fun-packed stories and activities which all actively support the National Curriculum’s Early Years Foundation Stage.
Julie Jones, publishing director, comments: “Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom has proved to be one of the most popular licensed characters in our Fun To Learn Friends and Fun To Learn Favourites compilation magazines, and we are thrilled to be working with E1 on the standalone magazine.”
As from July the full product range will roll out across all major national retailers. This includes master toy from Golden Bear, clothing from Cohen and Wilkes, bedding from Character World, games and puzzles from Jumbo and DVD from E1. Ladybird books launched in March 2010. E1 are supporting the launch of the brand throughout autumn this year with extensive above and below the line marketing campaigns including TV advertising, a summer character costume tour of the Westfield estate, print, online and PR activity.
Hannah Mungo, licensing manager at E1, comments: “E1 are delighted to be extending our relationship with Redan with Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom. Redan produce creatively excellent publications for pre-schoolers and have been an extremely dedicated and loyal partner to E1 over the last five years since we first began working with them on Peppa Pig.”
