Warner Bros. and Rubie's renew relationship

Warner Bros. Consumer Products has announced the renewal of its global partnership with Rubie's for an extensive library of properties including DC Comics Super Heroes, Harry Potter, Looney Tunes,  Lord of the Rings and Hanna-Barbera characters including Scooby-Doo.

Since 1999, Rubies has held the worldwide rights to an array of Warner Bros.’ popular properties, allowing fans worldwide to become a part of their favoirite films and series.

“Our long-standing relationship with Rubie’s has proved to be incredibly successful, making them a valued licensee for our properties around the world,” said Karen McTier, executive vice president, domestic licensing and worldwide marketing, WBCP. “The company’s creativity combined with their global distribution in both mass and specialty markets has positioned them to be an industry leader and allowed our properties global exposure at Halloween as well as other celebrations throughout the year.”

“Warner Bros. Consumer Products has helped us expand our product lines over the years through their creative direction and marketing savvy,” said Howard J. Beige, executive vice president, Rubie’s.  “We attribute a great deal of our company’s growth to the enduring popularity of Warner Bros.’ properties and characters and look forward to continued success through our partnership.”

In addition to WBCP renewing the license for Rubie’s global business in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Australia/New Zealand and Asia, Warner Bros. also continues Rubie’s license agreement for The Wizard of Oz, Gone With The Wind, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, Beetlejuice and Corpse Bride in North America and various parts of the world.
