Entertainment One Brings Peppa Pig To Nick Jr.
Entertainment One (eOne) has finalised an agreement with Nick Jr., Nickelodeon’s 24-hour educational pre-school network in the U.S., to bring its popular Peppa Pig animated shorts stateside as a new half-hour TV series. Peppa Pig currently airs as an interstitial series on Nick Jr. in the U.S.

“We are confident that Peppa will be as popular with children and families in the U.S. as she is in the UK, creating opportunities to further expand the franchise around the world,” said Entertainment One CEO Darren Throop. “We look forward to our multi-award winning pre-school series making its U.S. debut on Nick Jr. as half hours.”
Peppa Pig lives with her little brother George, Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig. Peppa’s favourite things include playing games, dressing up, days out and jumping in muddy puddles. Her adventures always end happily with loud snorts of laughter. The series has been broadcast on Nick Jr. here in the UK since 2004 and is consistently one of the channel’s top rated shows.
“Our audience has enjoyed the Peppa Pig animated shorts, and we know they will love getting to know Peppa, her family and friends in the new half-hour animated series,” said Teri Weiss, Senior Vice President, Nickelodeon Pre-school.
The show is broadcast multiple times daily on Nick Jr. UK where it has established a loyal following and also airs in 180 territories worldwide. With a catalogue of 156 episodes and an additional 52 commissioned and in production for delivery over the next two years, the brand’s exposure and freshness is guaranteed. eOne controls worldwide distribution rights for the series.
