New Promotion at Sesame Workshop

Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street, has promoted Anita Stewart to senior vice president of Corporate Partnerships, Sesame Workshop.  Stewart will report to Myung Kang-Huneke, chief of staff.

Stewart joined the Workshop in 2003 and is responsible for developing and securing strategic corporate alliances and sponsorship programs for the Workshop’s signature children’s series, Sesame Street and The Electric Company in the U.S., as well as for co-productions throughout the world including in Brazil, China, South Africa, Mexico, Nigeria and India.

Stewart also oversees corporate funding for domestic and international community outreach partnerships including Healthy Habits for Life, Sesame’s STEM initiative, and a new global road safety initiative. Stewart focuses on creating programs that strategically align a company’s overall goals and CSR objectives with Sesame Workshop’s mission, both domestically and globally. In her new position, Stewart is focusing on developing innovative new multimedia, multinational corporate partnerships that harness the power of all media, including mobile and digital platforms, to deliver critical educational messaging to children and families around the world, particularly the underserved.
