Roobarb and Custard make Sense

The animated pair have been selected as the perfect partners for a licensed pin badge campaign in support of Sense, the leading deafblind charity.

Louis Kennedy will be producing a range of badges featuring Roobarb and Custard, with proceeds from each sale going to support Sense. The charity supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind, providing expert advice and information as well as specialist services to deafblind people, their families, carers and the professionals who work with them.

The retro brand is a growing presence in UK licensing, with Roobarb and Custard products targeting the adult collector market already selling strongly, including apparel lines from Poetic Gem, greetings cards from Museums and Galleries, amusement plush from PMS and canvas wall art from Riviera. Classic storylines from the sohws have also been developed into a series of children’s books by top publisher Mogzilla..

Licensing agent Bulldog is targeting a variety of other categories that will suit Roobarb and Custard’s unique appeal including gift plush, stationery and fashion accessories.

“Everybody loves Roobarb and Custard so the badges will be absolutely irresistible and it’s fantastic that these cartoon icons will be helping to boost awareness and raise funds for Sense,” says Bulldog MD Rob Corney
