Rubie's extends Transformers agreement

Costume specialist Rubie's Masquerade has extended its Transformers 2 licence until 2011.

Transformers 2 was the company's number two licence during last year, driven by the huge success of the Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen movie. A third film from the franchise is due in 2011, with Michael Bay once again directing stars Shia LeBeouf and Megan Fox.

Holly Oldham, Rubie's media and licensing manager, commented:"We're delighted to be able to extend our agreement with Hasbro. The Transformers range has been incredibly popular so far - as a property it's second only to Batman, which is a genuine licensing phenomenon and makes up 10 per cent of our overall business."

Rubie's Transformers range includes both children's and adult costumes of Bumble Bee and Optimus Prime and there's also an innovative 'transforming' Optimus Prime adult costume.
