Sesame Street lands on iTunes
New Sesame Street content is now available on the iTunes Store, including Sesame Street TV episodes, Movies, Apps, Music and Podcasts.
Warner Bros. Digital Distribution will premiere 12 Sesame Street titles available for permanent download including “Elmo Loves You,” “Abby in Wonderland” and “Being Green.” In an effort to promote learning across relevant subjects, the “Learn Along with Sesame” series, a collection of online educational resource videos featuring the Sesame Street Muppets, as well as Sesame Street Podcasts, are available as free downloads to all iTunes customers. Episodes of the TV series, available in English and Spanish, are also available on iTunes. “We are pleased to offer our fans Sesame Street content on iTunes, where families will be able to select from a wide array of educational media experiences with the furriest and funniest characters in the world,” said Scott Chambers, Sesame Workshop’s SVP, worldwide media distribution. “The spirit, humor and learning of Sesame Street are delivered right to your home computer, iPhone, iPod touch or iPad.” Beginning today, Sesame Street fans can also enjoy three new Sesame Street apps produced with IDEO, an award-winning design and innovation consultancy, in the “Count with Sesame” series for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users.
