B&Q and JCB have put the finishing touches to an exclusive deal which is set to change the shape of the £500m DIY power and hand tools market in the UK.
The UK’s number one home improvement and garden centre retailer has signed an exclusive deal with JCB, the world’s third largest manufacturer of construction equipment to develop a range of world class power and hand tools.
The range will launch exclusively in all B&Q stores in autumn 2010, and in keeping with JCB’s 65 year history of research, development and innovation will deliver a range of designer power tools built for hard work and reliability. The range is being designed to world-class engineering standards and will carry an exceptional five year guarantee, priced for the mid market targeting aspirational DIYers.
The range is set to be on every serious DIYers Christmas list.
