Women in Toys appoints new UK co-chairs
Helen Howells and Louise Drabwell will now head up the women in Toys operation in the UK.
The Women in Toys Association is a leading not for profit organisation
recognising and promoting the achievements of women in the toy,
licensing and entertainment industries. Helen Howells, commercial
director, Target Entertainment and Louise Drabwell, managing director,
Rare Communications, will be tasked with building on the success in the
UK to date and developing WIT into the ‘must-have’ membership within
the industry. Helen and Louise will assume their posts with immediate
effect.
WIT offers an opportunity for industry people to meet leading
executives and entrepreneurs in the toy, entertainment, and licensing
industries; attend networking events; increase their profile and keep
up-to-date with news via the WIT website. The dates for the three key
networking events in the UK will be announced shortly.
Helen Howells is currently commercial director at Target Entertainment
where she heads up the company’s commercial activities across kids TV
sales, Home Entertainment and Licensing. Previous to this Helen was
Commercial Director at 4kids Entertainment.
Louise brings a wealth of expertise in the PR and marketing sector
and founded Rare Communications in 2003. Prior to establishing Rare,
she held the position of Head of PR, Fox Kids Europe.
