Zingzillas rocks licensees
BBC Worldwide announces eight new partnerships for the pre-school brand
The new musical show, which was produced in-house by CBeebies for the BBC, comprises 52 x 22-minute episodes which swung onto CBeebies on 5th April, 2010. Set to get pre-schoolers across the country rocking, jumping and jiving to a new beat, the show has already secured 14 licensees, fronted by Vivid Imaginations who have been granted the master toy licence.
Richard Hollis, head of UK licensing for BBC Worldwide children’s and licensing says: “We are confident that ZingZillas is the next big thing in pre-school entertainment, and the unprecedented response we’ve had to the brand confirms the industry support for this.”
Newly appointed licensees for ZingZillas include Martin Yaffe (wheeled toys). Managing director for Martin Yaffe International, Ronnie Yaffe, commented: "We are thrilled to have been appointed this licence for ZingZillas which is a hugely exciting new property in the pre-school licensing world.”
Character World has also been signed (bedding), as has DNC (lunchware and melamine items), Samuel Eden (socks), Trademark Collections (children’s bags and umbrellas), Bon Bon Buddies (seasonal confectionery) and Danilo (greetings cards and gift-wrap). Worlds Apart have also been signed to make a range of furniture based on the show.
Along with product from previously announced licensees, the newly agreed ranges are set to hit be in retailers from autumn/winter 2010
