Twentieth Century Fox revs up apparel for The Simpsons and Sons of Anarchy

At this year’s Magic Marketplace, Twentieth Century Fox celebrates its popular television brands, The Simpsons and Sons of Anarchy.

The most successful show in entertainment history, The Simpsons, celebrates its 500th episode in February, while Fox’s highest rated series, Sons of Anarchy will be the other star at this year’s Magic Marketplace. To honour their most successful series', Fox Consumer Products heralds an extensive merchandising program giving the brand its biggest retail presence ever.

Fox Consumer Products is developing a yearlong celebration for The Simpsons' 500th episode that will include specially tailored brand initiatives to appeal to the franchise’s wide fan base. The newest and boldest initiative for female teens and tweens, I Heart Maggie, features the youngest member of the Simpsons family in a highly stylized design treatment with a vibrant color palette and graphics featured on fashion garments and accessories for high end boutiques. The launch will be timed to Valentine’s Day and the airing of The Simpsons’ 500th episode. For women, Ladies of Springfield will kick off with a high-end fashion program for the true Simpsons fashionista fan, and for the more down to earth mom, there’s the Best. Mom. Ever. themed program for all channels. For boys, it’s all about Bart Sports with cutting edge attitude and sports oriented designs such as surf and skate for programs in the mid-tier and mass channel. For men, Who’s Your Daddy and Duff Beer are two new themes that will refresh product lines across all channels in this core demographic. Lastly, the entire family can celebrate the year of the 500th episode, with products based on Team Simpsons. FCP will be behind the year-long celebration with massive support across all platforms from social media to broadcast, and has forged a broad range of retail relationships from Old Navy in the U.S. to H&M internationally.  

At the foundation of the Sons of Anarchy program is Changes, who have been tapped to develop a wide range of apparel and accessories including t-shirts, sweatshirts, tank tops, jackets, belts, wallets and more. This line, geared for fans of the show, is available at specialty and independent retailers across the country. To expand upon the Changes line, Fox Consumer Products has added Hypnotic (headwear), Calhoun Sportswear (boardshorts, beach towels, flip flops, sunglasses, etc.), Briefly Stated for boxers and Loungewear and Rabbit Tanaka (mirrors, lamps, mugs, dartboards, etc.) into the mix for specialty, independent and mid-tier retailers.
