Gummibär scores plush deal in US and Canada

Licensing agent The Sharpe Company secures partnership with Seven20 for plush toys in North American territories

Gummibär, one of the most watched animated characters on the internet, continues to gain momentum for its licensing program with a new deal in place with Seven20 for plush toys in the Us and Canada.

Represented for consumer products licensing in North America, and UK by The Sharpe Company, the loveable green gummy bear character skyrocketed to fame 10 years ago with his catchy tune I Am A Gummy Bear (The Gummy Bear Song). 

With the recent addition of the Gummibär and Friends: The Gummy Bear Show animated web series airing exclusively on YouTube, which features the silly adventures of Gummibär and his quirky friends Kala and Harry, the franchise has solidified its popularity by surpassing the 10 billion views milestone on YouTube, with 1.3b of those views in just the past six months.

Bringing this fan-favourite to the masses, The Sharpe Company has secured lifestyle brand Seven20 as North American licensee for Gummibär plush toys. Products will include plush figure toys, a singing and dancing Gummibär feature plush, as well as a talking and singing mask. Characters Kala the Cat and Harry the Chameleon from the hit YouTube series Gummibär and Friends, will be introduced at a later date.

Seven20’s plush toy collection is part of a growing license range for Gummibär which includes mobile apps, impulse merchandise and men’s, women’s and children’s apparel.
