MEG Toys and JAKKS Pacific team up for for Puppy In My Pocket distribution deal
Jakks Pacific announced as the North American distributor for Puppy In My pocket
MEG Toys announces the signing of a key agreement for its Puppy In
My Pocket property: a master toy distribution deal with leading U.S.
toy company, JAKKS Pacific.
The JAKKS agreement follows another significant deal announced by MEG
last week - its partnership with Cartoon Network, Inc., for the
placement of the animated show Puppy In My Pocket Adventures in
Pocketville on Boomerang.
JAKKS Pacific will be the North American distributor for the toy line
based on the AIP television series. The line will feature collectible
figures, accessories, play sets and plush, and is expected start
shipping to retailers nationwide in Spring 2012.
Joe Morrison, CEO of MEG states: "We are very pleased to have a company
of JAKKS' stature representing Puppy In My Pocket in North America.
Puppy In My Pocket is MEG's flagship brand, and the new partnership
with JAKKS Pacific puts the property in the hands of a world-class
distributor capable of taking the brand to new heights. Quite
literally, the Puppy (brand) has come back home to JAKKS after a hiatus
of 2 years, as JAKKS distributed the brand in the US very successfully
for several years up to 2009. We are very excited to work with JAKKS
once again and expect to make it an even bigger success this time
around."
"Puppy In My Pocket is an evergreen brand with a proven history at
retail, even without entertainment," says Jeremy Padawer, Executive Vice
President of Marketing, JAKKS Pacific, Inc. "With content slated to
run on Boomerang, the property is poised for even bigger success. We
are looking forward to working with MEG and their production partners
to take the brand to the next level."
