Country Companions set for Spanish publication

announced that two books based on hit Hallmark brand, Country Companions, are set to be published in Spain.
Although the titles, Love and Dearest Mum, have only just been published in the UK through Egmont, Spanish publishing rights have already been snapped up by Ediciones B. Both books have been written by Helen Ford with illustrations by Simon Taylor-Kielty and feature the cast of the Country Companions brand, including Tom Mouse, Ed Hedgehog, Sam Rabbit and Badger.
The books represent Country Companions’ first foray outside of the greetings sector, where the brand has built up a huge following since being launched twenty-one years ago, with the cards currently available from over 5000 different retailers across the country.
Licensing agent Bright and Beyond are also looking to extend the brand across a range of other sectors, including outdoor, gardening, food, gifting and apparel. A full style guide has recently been released to assist licensees in developing retail-focused ranges based on the brand.
“Country Companions has been a huge hit in the UK, but also has massive global appeal, as demonstrated by this new publishing deal. In the future, as the licensing programme expands so will the reach of the brand across the world,” commented Bright and Beyond MD, Vicki Willden-Lebrecht.
