Mondo TV co-produces Beast Keeper
Mondo TV Group has signed an agreement with Ponpoko Productions Ltd., Starbright Srl and Kappa Edizioni Srl for joint production and distribution of the brand new 2D animated series titled Beast Keeper. Mondo TV has signed as majority co-producer with an ownership share of 80 per cent of the series.
The new series, made-up of 52 episodes lasting 13 minutes each, is in production and is based
upon the property called Beast Keeper, owned by Ponpoko. The characters of the property will be handled by Kappa Edizioni Srl, who created the original comic books.
Mondo TV will manage the executive production, including the screenplay under the direction of Orlando Corradi, president and CEO of Mondo TV. Mondo TV will also be responsible for the worldwide distribution of all TV rights and home video rights for a period of 30 years. The distribution of licensing and merchandising rights will be exclusively entrusted to Starbright in Italy, whilst the distribution licensing and merchandising rights will be carried out in close collaboration between Mondo TV and Starbright.
A presentation of the new series is scheduled for MIPTV 2011 and final delivery of the episodes are expected by autumn 2012.
