Second series of Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom
Entertainment One (eOne) has announced that a second series of Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom, has been commissioned by Nick Jr for 2012.
Since its launch in April 2009 on Nick Jr and subsequent broadcast on Channel Five’s Mikshake!, Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom has consistently been a top rated show. Animation studio Astley Baker Davies is commencing production on the new 52 episode series in summer 2011, which will be shown in the UK before rolling out in the rest
of the world.
Following the success of the first series, Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom has now been sold to over 150 territories worldwide.
The Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom licensing programme continues to expand with 30 licensees now on board in the UK. The first phase of the retail rollout in 2010 has been a great success with toy licensee, Golden Bear, and publishing partner, Penguin, delivering strong sales for the property that have exceeded all expectations.
eOne is investing in the development of the official Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom website
www.littlekingdom.co.uk, which has been refreshed with new content and will re-launch this February to give the brand a strong online presence and increase the site’s database of consumer subscribers.
