Shoot licensing programme kicks off
Bulldog Licensing, the newly appointed representative for iconic football magazine and brand Shoot, has announced details of a new licensing agreement with top fine art company, Iron Gut.
Shoot captivated successive generations of football fans with sharp, incisive writing and contributions from the stars of the game, from Bobby Moore and Alan Ball right up to modern day legends such as Joe Cole and John Terry, before moving into the digital era by becoming the first football magazine to be made available around the world on the Web.
Bulldog has brought on board Iron Gut to produce a range of limited edition framed wall art featuring classic moments and Shoot covers. “Shoot has over 10,000 iconic images from the last 50 years of world football and we intend to use these to create a limited edition art collection that will appeal to football fans of all ages,” explains Anthony Marks, MD, Iron Gut Publishing.
Bulldog is also in talks with a host of other potential partners across a range of categories, including publishing, gifts, toiletries, accessories and stationery and believes the range will be a major success at retail.
“Shoot is a much-loved brand amongst fans of the beautiful game everywhere and has the ability to capture the energy and emotion of the sport without carrying the inherent risks for retailers of the more partisan team-specific licensing programmes. Ever since we first presented the brand at last year’s BLE we have been dealing with huge amounts of interest and this new deal is one of many pieces of activity we are set to announce in the coming weeks,” commented Bulldog MD Rob Corney.
