New range of Monkey branded products set to hit the shelves

Licensed goods specialist Bluebirds Brands is set to launch a fantastic new range of products based on Monkey – the iconic star of the legendary advertising campaigns for ITV Digital and PG Tips.

Monkey’s double act with comedian Johnny Vegas has gone down in history as one of the most popular ad campaigns ever to appear on the small screen and has turned the little knitted primate into a massive star, with a huge cult following across websites such as Facebook and YouTube. 

Bluebird Brands has signed an agreement to produce a wide range of Monkey products that will go on sale in retail outlets across the UK, including fashion bags, laptop bags, plush bags and purses as well as a homewares line that will feature aprons, hot water bottles, mugs and tea towels.

This latest line adds to an increasingly impressive Bluebird Brands portfolio, with the company offering a broad range of licensed collections that are all designed by an in-house creative team. This covers character, celebrity and fashion and includes fantastic brands such as Fabric Animals, Goochicoo, Collins Gem and Pip and Co.

“Monkey is a huge brand but there is very little licensed merchandise out there so we are delighted to have signed this new deal,” says Rachel Needs, brands and licensing director at Bluebird Brands. ”We are planning a very exciting and innovative range and Monkey’s huge popularity means that it will go down an absolute storm when it hits the shelves!”
