Flair take on Horrid Henry

Flair has unveiled a new range of toys based on the hugely successful children’s property, Horrid Henry. This follows a recent deal with licensing agent CPLG.

Horrid Henry, based on characters created by author Francesca Simon, is a major multi-media brand. Books are available in 27 countries including the US, with sales exceeding 16 million books in the UK alone. The three times BAFTA nominated TV series produced by Novel Entertainment is the most popular series ever for CiTV.

156 animated episodes are slated to complete production and transmission in the UK by Summer 2011, with sales in 17 countries internationally. The big screen is next on the agenda, with a 3D live-action film set to hit cinemas this summer featuring an all-star cast including Anjelica Huston, Richard E. Grant, Kimberley Walsh and Dick & Dom.

Flair will be launching a wide range of toys that are sure to appeal to Henry’s millions of fans, who love his battles against a grossly unfair world. Products include a Super Snooper, which kids can use to covertly listen in to conversations up to 300 feet away, a Voice Changer Megaphone that distorts and changes voices at the touch of a button, a Lightning Yo-Yo - something Henry himself is rarely seen without - a Comic Maker Kit that includes over 200 stickers, and suitably disgusting Make Your Own Slime pots.

Flair joins an already successful licensing programme, including apparel from SilverKnit; nightwear and underwear from TDP Aykroyd; t-shirts and jumpers from Fabric Flavours; hand and finger puppets from Fiesta Crafts; games and puzzles from Jumbo; cards and giftwrap from Woodmansterne; music from EMI Records; video games from Asylum Entertainment; and a range of DVDs from Abbey Kids.
