Kidz takes on Star Wars and new staff
Following its rebranding as Ink, Kidz Entertainment has been busy recently taking on new staff and a new licensing deal.
Kidz Entertainment/EEMC has announced details of a new appointment that will see Anna Elleson take on a sales manager role within the company.
Anna will be acting as key account manager Nordic, with a specific remit to boost sales across Sweden and Finland. She will be based at the Kidz HQ in Denmark and will work closely with the management team and head of sales Søren Buhl.
Kidz Entertainment/EEMC has also been appointed by Lucas Licensing to represent Star Wars, the world’s most popular boys’ brand, across Eastern Europe and the Nordics.
As one of the biggest properties in the world Star Wars needs little introduction – the brand has been a pioneer in the modern entertainment industry since the first film was released in 1977 and the entire pantheon of six hit films rank as some of the most successful and influential movies ever made. This has combined with a multi-media presence that spans publishing, the web and interactive, as well as the hugely popular TV series Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
The forthcoming conversion of all six films to 3D – beginning with Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace in 2012 - will capture new audiences and increase exposure for this massive brand, which has maintained momentum for the last 30 years and is still continuing to grow.
In licensing terms, this has led to the creation of thousands of product lines across multiple sectors and Star Wars maintains a constant retail presence across the world - it is the only truly global boys’ brand and is number 1 in most territories.
The Kidz team will be working hard with key partners such as The LEGO Group and Hasbro to bolster the brand’s position in the Nordics and ensure that it becomes the number 1 boys’ property across the whole of Eastern Europe.
