Moshi set for US launch

Spin Master and Mind Candy have joined forces to launch Moshi Monters in the US - exclusively at Toys R Us stores and at toysrus.com.

Spin Master will manufacture the toy line, which will be available at Toys R Us from July.

The line includes six plush characters, as well as 32 Moshling minifigures.

Richard Barry, vice president, general merchandise manager, Toys R Us, US, commented: "We know that web-savvy kids want to enjoy tangible experiences with their favorite virtual properties, and the Moshi Monsters toy line delivers these experiences in a big way. We are thrilled to be the only US retailer to provide kids the opportunity to bring Moshi Monsters into the physical world.”

Spin Master’s toy line will include codes which can be used to retrieve virtual items for adopted Moshi Monsters and trial memberships. Further potential licensees include cards from Topps and books from Scholastic.

Recently, Mind Candy announced that the Moshi Monsters website had hit the 50 million users worldwide.
