Rebecca Bonbon makes her mark globally
FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) has announced an array of new licensing deals for Rebecca Bonbon, the Japanese character designed by Yuko Shimizu (the original creator of Hello Kitty). 
Continuing its success in North America, Jennette McCurdy, star of Nickelodeon’s iCarly, has been announced as the official brand spokesperson for Rebecca Bonbon products, available exclusively at Kmart and Sears.
In Brazil, BIC will launch a new line of Rebecca Bonbon stationery products for Back to School in September 2011 including notebooks, pencils and pens. In addition, Clio Style has licensed the brand for backpacks, bags, key rings, pencil cases, make up bags and laptop cases, all of which are set to be launched at the Couromoda market in 2012.
In EMEA, French licensee Avenir Telecom will be developing a line of 17 mobile phone accessories including protective covers, cases and stickers for Rebecca Bonbon, and also holds licenses for laptop, tablet and computer accessories.
Products from Avenir Telecom will be available in more than 30 countries throughout EMEA including France, UK, Germany, Spain, Benelux, Russia, CEE Territories, UAE and South Africa in its 620 stores, specialty retailers and online, beginning this month.
Just one year after its US debut, the Rebecca Bonbon brand has continued to grow globally across North America, Asia Pacific and EMEA.
