Brand signs three new licensees and passes half a million likes on Facebook

Little Airplane Productions’ international hit “Small Potatoes” is increasing its digital reach with the signing of two new global digital licensees with P2 Games Ltd and Barnes & Noble. The appointments will bolster an already solid digital presence which recently saw the Small Potatoes’ booming Facebook page pass the half a million ‘likes’ mark.

P2 Games Ltd are producing two multi-platform Small Potato apps and Barnes & Noble will distribute an eBook based on the band's hit song ‘Imagination’ which follows the four adorable singing potatoes on their travels. The NOOK Kids™ NOOK book™ will be available for purchase on the award-winning NOOK Tablet™ and NOOK Color™.  Additionally, CEACO Gamewright has signed up to produce puzzles and games in North America.

Little Airplane’s strategy to creatively engage and communicate with “Small Potatoes” fans has attracted a massive social media fanbase. The Facebook page has become a word-of-mouth sensation gaining over half a million ‘likes’ in under a year, with several thousand new fans joining the page each day.  Fans from over 30 countries have fallen for the cute cyber spuds and are queuing up daily to request potato avatars (www.facebook.com/thesmallpotatoes).

Little Airplane President, Josh Selig said: “The “Small Potatoes” were created to have a multi-platform presence and we are delighted to have two prestigious new licensees on board who share our digital ambitions for the brand.”

The new digital signings follow the highly successful launch of the “Small Potatoes” album on iTunes which was one of the most popular children’s albums in the US in its first week of release.

The “Small Potatoes” animated series following the adventures of a band of four singing potatoes is currently airing in 15 different countries including the US, Canada, UK and Australia.
