Egmont UK appoints first Consumer Insight Director
Leading specialist children’s publisher Egmont UK has appointed Alison David in the brand new role
Alison is currently Commercial Director of Egmont’s Magazines division, and will begin her new role immediately working across Egmont’s books and magazines divisions. She will report to the head of the UK business Rob McMenemy, Senior VP, Egmont English Language & Central Europe.
Alison comes to this new role with a wealth of experience having been a creator, analyst and end-user of Consumer Insight. Her experience includes Kantar Media (TGI), IPC, National Magazines, running her own qualitative research business, contract publishing, business development and advertising sales.
Rob McMenemy says: “We have an incredible opportunity to inspire children and teenagers to read in new ways by building a deeper understanding of the way they consume media. I believe the creation of this new role, together with Alison’s outstanding credentials, will allow us to create an invaluable view of the world of our consumers, and the opportunities the digital world brings.”
