It’s Viva Espana For Everything’s Rosie
Leading licensees across Spain step up to join Rosie
Hot on the heels of the Spanish broadcasting success of Everything’s Rosie, V&S Entertainment Ltd, producer of the hit pre-school animation has seen a flurry of activity from leading licensees across Spain who are all keen to come on board to produce Rosie product for this burgeoning fan base.
Since March 2011, Everything’s Rosie has been airing on RTVE’s Clan TV. The show has achieved a peak audience share of 64% in the 4-6 year age group, which proves its huge popularity. It is these viewing figures, plus the fact that the channel has now picked up the second series of the show which are making it such a hot prospect for prominent licensees such as publishing giant, Panini and major distributor Giochi Preziosi Spain.
Panini is set to release a range of Everything’s Rosie products in spring 2012. These will include Stick & Stack Puzzle and Stick & Stack Colour Activity books, a diary and a musical activity book all featuring Rosie, Raggles and the other lovable characters from the series.
Already on board as master toy distributor, Giochi Preziosi Spain is looking to expand its Everything’s Rosie activity with a range of fun and colourful stickers for the Spanish market. The Everything’s Rosie toy line is backed by a major marketing campaign. It is this success that has encouraged Giochi Preziosi Spain to invest in further merchandising opportunities with the brand.
“These two deals with key European licensing partners Panini and Giochi Preziosi Spain boost what is already an impressive Spanish programme,” says Julie Quirke, Director of Licensing at V&S Entertainment. “Spanish pre-schoolers have really taken Rosie to heart and she has become a firm favourite on the Clan TV channel. We are sure that with such a big fan base, these products will do very well at retail.”
Other Spanish licensing partners include Random House Mondadori, DIVISA RED, IMC, Safta, Stor, Astro and CYP Imports. V&S is currently in advanced negotiations with other Spanish licensees, with further announcements expected shortly.
