Match stars set for international debut

England to be added to range of football figures

Pattni Imaginations has announced it is adding the England national team to its innovative range of Match Stars football figures, after signing a deal brokered by BBC Worldwide – a licensing agent for the England brand.

Match Stars are incredibly realistic seven to ten inch figures that are fully pose-able and have movable heads, shoulders, arms, elbows, wrists, waists, legs, knees and ankles, as well as a unique spring-loaded kicking action. Agreements have already been signed with some of the biggest names in club football in the shape of Arsenal FC, Chelsea FC, Liverpool FC, Manchester United and FC Barcelona, but the new deal represents the first international team in the Match Stars fold. England stars such as Steven Gerrard, Andy Carroll, Joe Hart, Wayne Rooney and Jermaine Defoe are set to feature in the line-up, which will be available in both the official England home and away kits.

The England range is set to launch next year in advance of the Euro 2012 finals, whilst the club ranges are now available at retail and through a dedicated online store at: www.match-stars.co.uk

All the signs are that Match Stars will be a retail sensation - people are already signing up in their thousands to follow dedicated Match Stars pages on both Facebook and Twitter, whilst leading consumer toy website ToyTalk had the figures top of its list of ten outstanding products from Toy Fair 2011.

“Adding the England national team to our range of action figures is a phenomenal development - with anticipation building in advance of Euro 2012 the England Match Stars will offer kids a great new way of supporting their country and heroes” says Pattni Imaginations MD, Mayur Pattni. “This release will bring Match Stars to a whole new level – it is very much an evolving toy brand and is getting bigger and better with every new team. We are constantly identifying new ways in which we can update the figures and add new features and articulations to make them even better, so the England line could display a few new tricks when it is launched!”
