Mattel create pop superstar Nicki Minaj Barbie Doll to help raise money for charity

The doll has been created by Mattel in aid of Project Angel Food, a charity that provides daily meals for people homebound or disabled by HIV/AIDS and other serious illnesses. It is set to be auctioned off this Wednesday, 7th Dec through CharityBuzz.com until 19th December.

“It’s just a one of a kind, limited edition for charity, and so I never thought Mattel would even pay attention to me,” Minaj told Billboard. “For me, this is a very major moment because it just shows that you can come from nothing and still be a force in the main world, a business woman, and hopefully a mogul one day.”

The doll comes with high-heeled boots, a sparkly tulle and her trademark long pink hair. Bids will start at $1,000 and all proceeds will benefit the Project Angel Food.
