Pip goes plush

Aurora ltd signed to lead plush line for My Cat Pip

KJG Ltd has successfully brokered a deal with leading plush licensee Aurora that will see an adorable range of products featuring top design property My Cat Pip hitting the shelves.

My Cat Pip is the creation of leading design firm Over the Moon, a 2010 winner and 2011 Henries finalist. The brand is a massive presence in the greetings sector and appears regularly in the ‘What’s Hot’ section of Progressive Greetings, with retailers praising the brand’s ability to appeal to adults and kids alike. The cards are currently available in a vast range of outlets across the UK as well as on the Web via Moonpig.com and through Pip’s own online shop at  HYPERLINK "http://www.pipthecat.com" www.pipthecat.com. This popularity has also spread globally, with the cards selling in huge numbers across Russia, France, Germany, Finland, Italy, Switzerland, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and Australia.

Nigel Layton-Hill, Sales Director at Aurora says "We are absolutely thrilled to be working with KJG Ltd to produce the highly anticipated My Cat Pip plush. We know that this cute, unique and widely recognised character will translate perfectly into an Aurora plush creation. The unique styles of My Cat Pip give this project longevity and we are very excited to be embarking on it!"

The new deal comes hot on the heels of a range of recently signed agreements that has seen Ethos Concepts Ltd come on board for toiletries, Stickems for magnetic screen cleaners for iPads and mobile phones, TaylorHe for Pip-branded iPad skins, and Vista Stationery and Print for calendars and year planners.

The new partners further strengthen what is an impressive licensing programme, with Pip-branded merchandise appearing across the UK high street. Other partners include Bluebird Brands for a range of mugs, coasters, purses, wallets and umbrellas that are currently selling well in TK Maxx stores nationwide, Alligator for gift bags and boxes, Robert Frederick for stationery, and Raiseprint for fridge magnets. Shreds is also on board for a variety of products aimed at 2 to 4 year olds, such as aprons, mini tote bags, giftpack melamine sets and lunchbags, which are selling well through major retail outlets including Amazon and Harrods.

My Cat Pip also enjoys a strong publishing presence and features in both Sparkle World and Easy Peazy, two best-selling magazines for young girls.

“Pip is absolutely perfect for a plush range so we are delighted to have signed an agreement with a market leader such as Aurora,” says Kirsty Guthrie, from KJG Ltd. “This adds yet another category to the licensing programme and underlines the brand’s strength and versatility.”
