Pat and Peppa pip the pack

Postman Pat and Peppa Pig have been recognised as the top two licences for pre-school children

Postman Pat has picked up the Overall Winner Award for the most preferred Licensed Property at this year’s Practical Pre-School Awards.

The new Practical Pre-School, Best Licensed Property Award recognises the important part that character licensing has in a child’s play and development. Achieving the award spotlights properties that offer variety, fun and developmental qualities whilst promoting good social messages.

Each licensed property that entered into the Practical Pre-School Awards was thoroughly tested in different professional settings in both the foundation stage and key stage 1, including schools, pre-schools, and nurseries amongst others.

Peppa Pig came second place with testers loving the variety the property offers,they said: “Peppa Pig is instantly recognisable to all at the nursery and is a very popular with the children. The Peppa Pig brand is huge and this makes for lots of variety so parents and carers can choose what they believe is right for them.”
