Spin Master's Redakai gets 2012 off to a great start
The eagerly awaited new boys action franchise, Redakai, blasted onto TV this weekend on Cartoon Network.
Redakai:
Conquer the Kairu is an animated kids adventure series, produced by
Spin Master Ltd. and Zodiak Kids/Marathon, starring Ky, a 15-year-old
student of ancient martial arts who embarks on an incredible quest to
find the Kairu, a primordial alien energy force. Helped by his friends
Maya and Boomer, Ky travels the globe looking for the Kairu to protect
it from his extraterrestrial teenage opponents, with the hope that one
day he will become the greatest Kairu warrior of them all – a Redakai.
The new TV series will initially run on Cartoon Network at weekends
from Saturday 7th January at 11.30am and again at 6.30pm. From February
half term, the show will also be aired on CN Too at 4.00pm weekdays.
The
Redakai toy range launching later this year is a ground-breaking
innovation in gaming that takes trading cards to the next level. Redakai
features amazing Blast3D™ technology that brings characters to life
like never before and innovative stackable game play that shows the
impact of each move as it happens! Aimed at Boys 6-12 Redakai is already
proving a huge hit with gamers and with its intuitive play pattern Spin
Master will be looking to bring in a whole new generation of kids to
the category.
Stuart Picton, Marketing Manager for Spin Master says: “We are very
excited about the show which rated strongly in the US and look forward
to showing our retail customers the great product range at London Toy
Fair. Come and see us on stand E131.”
