RSPCA brings animal magic to lunchtime

Children’s gift specialist to produce range of RSPCA lunch bags and sports bottles

Leading animal welfare charity the RSPCA has awarded a licence to children’s gift specialist Vogue International to produce a range of RSPCA-branded lunch bags and sports bottles for children.

The colourful plastic lunch bags and aluminium sports bottles, designed for children aged from six to nine, launched at Spring Fair last week. They will arrive on the shelves of supermarkets, department stores and variety stores in June, and will also be available online through a number of retailers including Amazon.

The bags and bottles will be available in a variety of bright colours and will be illustrated with animal photographs from the RSPCA’s extensive photo library. Appropriately enough, there will be a selection of animal pictures to suit all tastes — ranging from the cuddly to the creepy, and from the lively to the laidback. The charity’s logo will be prominently featured and its work promoted on all packaging.

The RSPCA’s trading manager Cathy Snow commented: “These products are not only colourful and practical but high quality, an essential feature of all licensed items using the RSPCA name. In addition, of course, sales of the lunch bags and sports bottles will boost funds that allow us to continue helping animals in England and Wales.”This is another significant addition to the RSPCA’s fast-growing licensing campaign. The campaign has already seen the charity make strong inroads as a trusted and high quality brand into a number of categories. The RSPCA is looking at, or has already signed, deals in such areas as apparel, giftware, housewares, stationery, publishing, pet food, wild animal food and pet accessories.

For nearly 20 years, Vogue International has specialised in the design and manufacture of children’s products based both on well-known characters and household name institutions such as the RSPCA. Its range of gifts includes pop-up room storage, lunch bags, novelty drinks cups, alarm clocks, children's lamps, torches and more. All are fully licensed and all use only approved artwork and images. All Vogue International products are manufactured and tested to the very highest European standards.

Chris Thompson, Managing Director of Vogue International Ltd, said: “These gifts are both fun and useful, with the added attractions of appealing animal-based designs and a positive message of support for an important cause. We are delighted to have the opportunity to develop this range of children’s gifts alongside the RSPCA.”
